Last night in muggy Miami Peyton Manning found an undrafted second season wideout from Mount Union college for the game-winning 48 yard touchdown. His name is Pierre Garcon. It was his only catch of the game but he displayed his great speed dashing away from Dolphin defenders. The score secured a 27-23 victory for the Colts and thanks to one of the worst cases of clock management by Miami the Dolphins could not muster a comeback. While it may seem that the name Pierre would only be found in an uppity French restaurant or on the streets of France, there are a few Pierres making news in the NFL so far this year.
Last Monday night it was Pierre Woods of the Patriots stripping Leodis McElvin of the ball on a kickoff return which got the Patriots another chance to drive down for the winning score.
Perhaps the most well known Pierre is Pierre Thomas of the Saints. So far he has only drawn the ire of Fantasy players because he was had a sprained MCL and has only touched the ball once this season.
For general knowledge Pierre is the French form of Peter and the name means "rock" or "stone".

DeSean Jackson Does his Leon Lett Impersonation in Wild MNF Classic
The game started off innocently enough, a David Akers field goal 4:16 into he first quarter. After that, all hell broke loose. The Cowboys truck right back with a Romo to T.O. 72 yard bomb and the scoring did not stop. In the end, the Cowboys had more ammunition and took down the win 41-37.
DeSean's folly came after what was a beautiful hook-up with McNabb in the second quarter. DeSean broke away from the Dallas defenders and flipped the ball behind his back and broke into his dance. Turns out he was not actually in the endzone when he dsicarded said ball. There is a DeSean mustard joke in here somewhere, but I just can't place it. Jackson's error did not ultimately cost his team the TD, since the refs gave the Eagles the ball back on the 1 and Brian Westbrook took it in. Jackson did have over 100 yards receiving and it looks like has solidified his place as one of the Eagles wide receivers and most electrifying players in the league. Romo recovered from an early INT and fumble in his own endzone by throwing for 312 yards and 3 TDs. McNabb played well himself going for 281 and a TD, he seems to be healthy and has a bravado that hasn't been seen from him in awhile. The game certainly lived up to the hype as these two teams figure to be in the race for the NFC title.
