The attempted comeback for Darius Miles has fallen short, at least temporarily. When Miles was initially signed, we covered the implications and as it stands now the Trailblazers may have been granted a reprieve. Celtics insiders said the desire was there, but the shot and the explosiveness were not. If Miles is unable to catch on with another team, it will free up $9 million for each of the next two years for Portland. With Martell Webster, Channing Frye, and Ike Diogu entering restricted free agency after this season, their cap flexibility will be greatly increased if Miles does not play.
